Biography of Richard Nixon:
Richard Milhous Nixon was born on the 9th of January 1913 in Yorba Linda, California, United States. Richard Milhous Nixon was the second eldest of a family of five other brothers. Richard Nixon's family struggled through many economic burdens, and by the early deaths by his two brothers Harold and Arthur. After the failure of the Nixon's Ranch (also known as the Nixon Presidential Library and Museum) the family moved away to be closer to Richards mothers' relatives in Whittier, California. In 1922, Richard opened his first combination grocery store and gas station. The entire Nixon family worked there to earn enough money to live on. By the age of 17 Nixon received his first ever scholarship to Harvard University, as he achieved very high in his class and winning many awards, but due to financial problems the Nixon's couldn't afford the University, so Nixon attended Whittier College.
Throughout 1953-1961 Nixon was vice President of America, but when 1969 came around Richard Nixon was declared the 37th president of the United States of America. Richard Nixon has had many accomplishments and few failures during his time in office. Some accomplishments that Richard Nixon implemented during (1970-1973) his time in office were the many acts and policies about saving our environment and the many lives of humans and animals. One of the most devastating failures of Nixon's time in office had to be the Watergate scandal, this misconduct led to him being the only President in American history to ever resign from the office during 1974.
